I am going to issue a challenge today, to folks who are happy to put in a bit of effort and attempt to boost their productivity and sales! It’s not a magic pill people – it’s going to require some effort, so if you’re not up for the effort, feel free to go watch something else!
If you take up the challenge, however, I believe that you’ll see an impact in your productivity, activity, production and revenue very soon!
Here it is!!
For every video like this you watch on TV or YouTube in the course of this working week – I’m going to challenge you to make 2 outbound prospecting calls to new clients! 2 prospecting calls for every video you watch!
In my estimation that’s going to be maybe an extra 10 calls you make this week. (For some viewers that might be 10 more calls than you made the entire week last week!)
Statistics suggest that an average salesperson closes around 20 – 25 % of their proposals while top sales professionals close between 25 – 30 % of their calls. WOW, that; s only a couple of percentage points difference.
If you ask me what then is the significant difference between top performers and average … ? My answer? Activity – every time!! Top Sales performers always have meetings lined up and their schedules are full of new client meetings at least…. AT LEAST 2 weeks in advance.
If you want to double your production – very simply double the meetings or connections you have with clients.
If you have a 50% successful closing rate … that’s 1 in 2 meetings …. BRIILIANT !! You’ll close 1 deal per week if you have 2 meetings a week.
If you close at 25% and you see 4 client’s a day you’ll get 5 deals a week – even thought your closing rate is half the other sales person!
Activity is everything man!
